This print is of a view I sketched at Bridge Wood next to the River Orwell in Ipswich. It was like a scene from an Arthur Rackham illustration; with the gnarly old trees on either side reaching over to form an arch and the River Orwell visible on the other side. The image measures 25 x 30cm. I made it using Lawrence oil based relief printing inks on Zerkall paper. It is an edition of 10
I love living in Suffolk and find inexhaustible inspiration in the countryside here! I’m also completely fascinated by the medium of lino printing and aim to create images that celebrate its natural qualities.
